Using Rapid Health: What You Need to Know

Appointment request

Adult medical request

Need a GP or ANP appointment? Go to 'Adult Medical  Request'. Fill in the form and we will offer you an appropriate appointment.

Call

Need a routine Nurse or HCA appointment such as a blood test, dressing or annual review? Please call the surgery to book.

Child medical request

Need help for a child under 16? Go to 'Child Request'. Make sure to submit this under your child's details.

Admin request

Sick / Fit note

Need a sick/fit note? Got to 'Questions and Admin' > 'Sick / Fit Note'. Tell us the dates and reason you need it and we'll review and respond appropriately.

Test results

Chasing up test results? Go to 'Questions and Admin' > Test Results'. Please note: we don't initially contact patients if results are normal. We are unable to provide test results generated from hospital requests.

Other

Have a general admin query? Go to 'Questions and Admin' > 'Ask a Question'. We will review and respond appropriately.

Rapid Health is available Monday to Friday 8:00am to 12:00pm and 2:00pm to 5:00pm

• Check for a confirmation email
• We aim to respond within 2 working days

Please do not use Rapid Health for emergency or life threatening conditions

📞 By Phone (If You Need Help)

If you can’t go online, call us as usual, and our reception team will assist. Please note:

• Wait times may be longer during peak hours (8am to 10am & 2pm to 4pm).

• You’ll usually get a call back from a doctor within a few hours for urgent concerns.

ℹ️ What Happens Next?

You’ll be offered:

• A phone consultation with a doctor (usually within a few hours for urgent cases)

• An in-person appointment with the most suitable clinician (e.g., GP, nurse, physiotherapist)

📝 Other Important Information

• Hospital referrals: If needed, your doctor will use Choose and Book, letting you pick your preferred hospital

• Evening & Weekend Appointments (subject to availability)

• Email requests: We cannot accept appointment requests by email - please use Rapid Health or call us
