If you require medication on a regular basis, you will receive a re-order form with your medication. To order more medication, please tick the items you require and return this form to the practice.
You can also nominate a chemist of your choice, and once you have let the reception team know where you would like your prescription sent, your prescription this will automatically be sent to your chosen chemist, every time that your prescription is ordered, and will be available for you to collect 72 hours later, taking into consideration weekends and bank holidays.
If you require your prescription to be returned to you in the post, please provide a stamped addressed envelope, otherwise you can collect your prescription from the practice or make arrangements for it to be sent to Bugbrooke Pharmacy next door to the practice or to a pharmacy of your choice.
You can also email your request to the practice via northantsicb.prescriptionsbmp@nhs.net.
Online ordering
You can order your repeat prescription on the NHS App, where you can easily choose where your prescriptions are sent. So if you know you’ll be away from home or you are moving home, you can change your nominated pharmacy within the app.
You can also order your prescription at any time that suits you. There’s no need to wait to join a telephone queue or wait until the GP surgery opens.
It’s easy to use and, if you hit a snag, you can go to ‘Help’ in the top right- hand corner of the app or visit www.nhs.uk/helpmeapp
Medication review
All patients receiving repeat medication are required to have a medication review check at least annually. If you receive an invitation requiring you to book an appointment to have a check-up then it is important that you do this. If you do not respond to the invitation then it could delay further requests for your medication.
Dispensing
We offer a dispensing service to all patients in line with the Government guidelines. If you live further than a mile from a chemist, we will provide you with a dispensing service in the Practice.
