Publication of GP earnings
All GP Practices are required to declare the mean earnings (average pay) for GP's working to deliver NHS Services to patients at the practice.
NHS England requires that the net earnings of doctors engaged in the practice is publicised and the required disclosure is shown below. However it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating the earnings is potentially misleading as it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings nor to make comparisons with any other practice.
The average pay for GPs working in the Bugbrooke Medical Practice in the last financial year before tax and National Insurance was £112,121. This is for 4 full time GPs, 1 part time GPs, and 0 locum GPs who worked in the practice for more than 6 months.
Dispensing
The National Health Service regulations for doctors to dispense medication for their patients are very strict and we are required to comply with them. We are only allowed to dispense medication for our patients who live outside Bugbrooke, Flore, Weedon and the Northampton Borough. Our in-house dispensary is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 1.00pm and 2.00pm to 6.30pm.
You will be advised if we are able to dispense your medication when you register with the practice.
